The Archaeological Site of Olympia in western Peloponnese is one of the most significant sanctuaries of ancient Greece. Dedicated to Δίας, it is globally known as the birthplace of the Olympic Games, which began in 776 BC. Today, Olympia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site attracting visitors from all over the world who wish to explore its temples, stadium, and rich mythological heritage.
